Nice place, great community, great prices on the beer and drinks, but you need to be a coastie or CAC holder to get in. They have some great events as well.

Apropriately priced. Music is low tho, needs more atmosphere. FLETC's No wake zone in Charleston is better for music volume and fun.......There are people in CG uniforms everywhere in liberty lounge II killing the vibe; either go work or change clothes, but get out the bar! Bartenders are cool but understaffed, so help them out with tips. Otherwise, this is the coolest place at the training yard if ur barely over 21 and just moving out yo mommas house...but by a car and go explore.

For the price, you'd think it would be all trashy. But the food, service, ambiance and everything you can think of are really great and the price is dirt cheap. Great place to have fun with friends.

I order food here when my husband works at the hobby shop and we have dinner together. The prices are great. The active duty members can afford to have dinner there and a drink and play a game of pool or watch the game on one of many tv's there. You do have to have a military ID to get on base

Atmosphere is nice, prices are fair, and servers are fantastic. Food is great... put you will feel the pizza the next day. Hit or miss if it's busy, pull tables are not the best, lots of seats. Over all a good place to have a few while watching the game or pregame the night to come.

It is located on the perimeter road side of Washington auditorium. It is easy to find along the perimeter road. It has a blue awning with some outdoor seating. You enter through the door on the right and depart through the door on the left. I went when there was a COVID mask mandate in place. Everyone was required to wear masks and some were required to show proof of vaccination. You order at the counter at the back of the indoor space. Their menu is appetizers, bar food and drinks. The staff was nice, the food was good (I had wings), the portions were enormous and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this for anyone on base wanting a snack or just a place to relax.

Liberty Lounge II, nestled within the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Virginia, offers a unique blend of camaraderie, good food, and affordable drinks—though primarily accessible to military personnel and CAC holders. This lounge stands out as a genuine hub for Coast Guard members and their friends, providing a relaxed atmosphere where service meets social.

The charm of Liberty Lounge II lies in its straightforward appeal. The prices on beer and drinks are remarkably reasonable, making it an inviting spot for those wanting to unwind after a demanding day. Reviewers often highlight the lively community vibe, where military uniforms mingle with casual patrons enjoying a game of pool or catching a match on one of the many TVs peppered throughout the space.

When it comes to food, Liberty Lounge II pleasantly surprises. Despite the modest pricing, the dishes serve quality and flavor that exceed expectations. The fare caters well to those looking for hearty, comforting meals, perfect for sharing with friends or a laid-back date night. Some customers note the pizza for its substantial impact, a testament to the bold flavors packed into each slice.

Service here is another highlight. Servers are praised for their attentiveness and friendly demeanor, though the lounge can sometimes feel a bit understaffed during busy hours. This adds a touch of authenticity—encouraging guests to tip generously and contribute to the lively bar culture. However, the lounge’s atmosphere could benefit from a bit more volume and energy on the music front, as some patrons find the current soundtrack too subdued for their taste. Despite this, the overall energy remains inviting, especially for younger service members stepping out from their training routines.

Liberty Lounge II’s location on a military base gives it a distinct identity, emphasizing the strong sense of community and service pride. It’s not just a bar or eatery; it’s a gathering place where bonds are forged over affordable drinks, solid food, and shared experiences. For those eligible to enter, it’s an opportunity to enjoy good fare in a setting that feels both familiar and welcoming.
